We should definitely try.
I've been told that the dependency generation of dh_python2 gets out of
the way when van.pydeb is used. That should be all that is needed,
really.
(Well, that or dh_python2 supporting setuptools extras, which it may by
now)

It wasn't addressed to anyone in particular. I presume that Ubuntu has
been moving forward lately while Debian's been frozen.
I was just stating that I would, at some point and given time, have a
look at the difference and see what could be ported across.
