I didn't see any better solution here. The authors' names are part of the=
=20
documentation, and it makes the whole documentation non-ascii. Any=20
suggestion?

I think this is a bug. It's the same that happened some time ago when we=20
had the italian translation in utf-8, but now we can't fall back.

The solution would be to add a "-L, --localized-charset" option to=20
po4a-translate (and some equivalent for the po4a script), to force the=20
conversion of the translated document to the specified charset (so that=20
the generated po4a documentation could come back to iso8859-1, for=20
example).

Currently I don't have many time available to spend with po4a :( In=20
february I'll have some vacation weeks, so I'll be back to full activity,=
=20
but maybe it's so far in time. This issue should be solved before a new=20
po4a release. If you plan to make a new release soon, please announce it=20
as soon as posible, so I can try to solve it.
