Yes, it's still not supported (distributed).

I don't really remember the status of this module, but I don't think it
works nicely.

BTW, I intend to work on a mdoc module (or enhancement of Man.pm).
I still don't know if I will be able to make an mdoc module without using
a lot of tags in the PO strings, or if I will try to make an mdoc module
which will translate in roff.

Regarding Texinfo, the most important issue is that there is IMO no support
for displaying the translated document. That could be an idea for
Debconf6...
