Fn behaviour is hardware dependent (it changed from one revision to
the other...) but the setting is global for the module. You do the
math after that ...

That's a kernel issue. They've been messing around with Apple
keyboards support lately, I guess they broke something again.

There's no reason why it wouldn't work, the code path is exactly the
same.
