Package: popularity-contest
Version: 1.22
Severity: normal
Eg the installation fails in the setup stage with a "stable"
whiptail installed:
Error: Unknown option --output-fd.
Use --help to list options.
debconf: dialog output to the above errors, giving up!
dpkg: error processing popularity-contest (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 255
Errors were encountered while processing:
popularity-contest
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Installing whiptail 0.51.6-6 from unstable solves this problem.
Now I'm not sure if this is a problem with popularity-contest, apt,
dpkg or whatever, so please feel free to pass this bug around as
appropriate.
cheers,
&rw
