You are a spammer? ;-)
My mail provider seems to think so, sorry.

As described in mails before, add this functionality to popcon server and=20
client, but I have no access to do it. ;-)

Why? Are there any problems with doing so?
It could be a non-default option, so not everybody have to use it.

Great work, thank you.
But there is still something to do for this bug.

There are better results on my site:
$ bzip2 -9 -c popularity-contest >popularity-contest.bz2
$ gzip -9 -c popularity-contest >popularity-contest.gz
$ uuencode -m popularity-contest.bz2 popcon >popularity-contest.bz2.b64
$ uuencode -m popularity-contest.gz popcon >popularity-contest.gz.b64
$ ls -l popularity-contest*
=2Drw-r--r-- 1 es users 74155 2005-02-17 23:19 popularity-contest
=2Drw-r--r-- 1 es users 18031 2005-02-17 23:20 popularity-contest.bz2
=2Drw-r--r-- 1 es users 24474 2005-02-17 23:21 popularity-contest.bz2.b64
=2Drw-r--r-- 1 es users 20650 2005-02-17 23:20 popularity-contest.gz

I would say 28024/74155 ~=3D 38 %.
I think is is NOT the case of "will not get you much", isn't it?

But it will decrease the network usage.
Please consider to think about it and discuss it with involved people again.
Thank you.
