Hi,
During installation, I am asked the question:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you do not want to use HTTP, email is used instead.
Use HTTP to submit reports?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I like http just fine for reading /., but I am unsure what
this means in this context. An explanatory paragraph like the
following would go a long way to improve the user interaction:
======================================================================
Normally, popularity contest survey data is reported by sending
email as root to popcon@foo.debian.org. However, if email has not
been set up, or if sending mail from this box has problems (like
being on a dial up network, or if connecting from a location
where outgoing email is prohibited), an alternate mechanism has
been provided that uses HTTP put to fill a form at
http:///popcon.foo.debian.org/instead. This is likely to work in
most situations, since most firewalls aloow HTTP connections.
Use HTTP to submit reports?
