I reassign to libpam-systemd since this is the common point.
system maintainers: here a summary of the report:
With libpam-systemd installed,
/etc/cron.daily/popularity-contest
which do
su -s /bin/sh -c "/usr/sbin/popularity-contest" nobody
which output
...terminated.
(which is mailed to the subscriber by cron).
