Hi Carl,

I think the original report predated SMTP submission capability in
reportbug, and referred to bug downloading.

The error message still does not say why the connection failed:

| Will send report to Debian (per lsb_release).
| Querying Debian BTS for reports on reportbug (source)...
| Unable to connect to Debian BTS; continue [y|N|?]?
