[Resolvconf-devel] Bug#339418: Make this cut-off at 127 option configurable and document it

I've just been bitten by this bug, and it was highly annoying.
Bind, running on 127.0.0.1 broke, and as there were no fallback servers
in /etc/resolv.conf anymore, the machine effectively lost it's internet
connection. Without a working internet connection fixing the bind problem
became rather difficult.
Although the problem was caused by a misconfigured named, it turned into a
disaster because resolvconf refused to add the extra nameservers to
resolv.conf .
I understand your desire to keep resolv.conf short, but you should not
automatically force this decision over my manual configuration.
Please make this feature configurable, or at least notify the user of what is
going on. At least document it clearly, right now it is not documented
anywhere, not even in the code. Right now the only explanation is in these
bug reports, which is far from ideal.

It's expensive to own, expensive to fix, and makes you curse like an italian.
