Except, of course, there's no space between the + ond the threads... Use:

/usr/bin/ocamlopt -noassert -unsafe -I /usr/lib/ocaml/contrib -ccopt -O3 
-I +threads unix.cmxa threads.cmxa message.ml -o message.ocaml_run
