my opinions about web site revision:

the top page could look a lot like today. a wellcome with short background.
the navigation tabs are a good idea.
i do not think that the all benchmark tests as a list should be there on
the left. it is too much information for a wellcome page. (imho)
neither do i think that the ''notes'' and ''other languages
comparisons'' should be on this page. same reason.

the navigation tabs could do with a slight restructuring:
-introduction
  is good.

-languages
-implementations
one of these could be removed, or renamed. i think they mean the same
thing and get confused when ''implementations'' turns out to be all the
test results for a language.

-documentation
this tab leads to a good collection of things. the name is not
obvious, but i have no other suggestion.

-news
-recent changes
one of these could be removed, or renamed. the information currently
found behind both could be handled in one place. imho.

-scorecard
if there is an consensus (in the ietf sense, rough consesus and
working code :-) i would like this to be a smaller set of tests that all
languages can do. specialities (object orientation, etc) could be linked
to from this page.

-mailing list
-wiki
i think both of these deal with interaction and could be found under a
single tab. name suggestion: ''community''

-alioth
stange name for a good tab. name suggestion: ''administration' or
''site''

some tabs are conspicous in their absence from this wellcome page. i
would like them added:

-faq
-tests
currently not needed since this information is overly emphesised
(imho) in the list to the left.
-other links
  (unless found under ''documentation'')
