Splashy needs a framebuffer, i don't know how to do it with isolinux,
with grub or lilo i add "vga=791" to the kernel options. You should find
how to do the same with Isolinux.
Then when the init script of splashy-init starts it calculates the init
scripts for the progressbar and starts splashy server.
So the whole thing that you have to do is to install splashy on your cd
image and set isolinux to send vga=791 to the kernel.
