[Splashy-devel] Bug#455573: Splashy made system unable to boot

After yesterdays 20071209 update my system couldn't boot. I've
attached the logs from that update. Also dmesg output. dmesg output
only up until my system gave me a chance to log in as root to repair
damage. Somehow it didn't mount all the drives and ext2-fsck couldn't
run and complained. After that it gave me a chance to repair with root
or continue  both attempts failed.

I couldn't find the culprit from the root shell but on my other
install (x86 unstable) I was able to chroot into the system and get
the logs and remove splashy. Now the system starts fine again.

I'am not sure if this is a symptom of kernel problems with yaird
(initrd) or even libc(latest problems I've been having when compiling
my own kernel). Allthough I've got 2 different kernels installed and
none worked while splashy was installed. 2.6.18 and 2.6.21 both self
compiled though :)
