I agree. A helper script calling "splashy_update 'scroll message to
display'" it's all that's needed now. This can be the same
/etc/lsb-base-logging.sh functions. We just need a global config in
/etc/splashy/config.xml to turn the whole thing on or off at will.
'autoverboseonerror' was meant to be "on error" only. We will still
need something to detect errors (again, lsb-base-logging.sh could
check the $? exit codes from scripts).

I'm still testing though.
