I also ran into this problem (also when upgrading mysql) and took a peek
at upstream sources.

>From the git log, this was fixed upstream in rev
dccdf4532edc4edd135bb89d16cd24904dbc8af9 already (which means the
recently released 0.3.13 version has this fixed).
