[Splashy-devel] Aborting getstring/getpass?

It would make sense to kill the splashy_update program that sent the getpass
request instead (which should still have the socket open to wait for the
result, AFAIU?). The resulting socket close can then be picked up by splashy,
which can remove the prompt (since there's nowhere to send the password
anymore anyway).

This would probably be easy to implement in splashy (perhaps it even works
already?), I think?
