Package: desktop-base
Version: 5.0.1
Severity: normal

I have a problem with splashy:
They decided to move the themes - that includes image files - out of /etc
It now installs them to /usr/share/splashy/themes. The documentation states it adds a link:
ln -s /usr/share/splashy/themes /etc/splashy/themes

But desktop-base gets in the way, because it creates the /etc/splashy folder, which conflicts!

If you do a rm -rf /etc/splashy/themes you get:
Unpacking splashy (from .../splashy_0.3.10-2_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/splashy_0.3.10-2_i386.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/etc/splashy/themes', which is also in package desktop-base

If you don't remove the folder, then the symlink is not created, the default theme is install into /usr/share/splashy/themes/default and it cannot be found by default /etc/splashy/config.xml
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.26-1-amd64
Splashy ERROR: Setting XML file to <</etc/splashy/themes/default/theme.xml>> failed. XML File not found
Splashy ERROR: Setting XML file to <</etc/splashy/themes/default/theme.xml>> failed. XML File not found

In both case, desktop-base completly breaks splashy.
