[Splashy-devel] Bug#540314: splashy: using vesafb for radeondrmfb cards hangs on module load

On a system with a radeon HD card that uses radeon drm (and by default radeondrmfb), splashy hangs during kernel module load or the subsequent console font etc setting (not sure which as the screen blanks, and doesn't come back.  The screen blanks during the radeon module load, but the it's not clear that the problem of it not coming back is from module load and not the soon after console set).

If I remove /usr/share/initramfs-tools/modules.d/splashy, and instead modify /etc/initramfs-tools/modules to contain radeon, radeondrmfb and it's dependencies, and use an appropriate video= parameter, then the system boots without hanging.
