Hello Dean,

I agree with you. We need to improve the text scrolling and
fade-in/out effects. If you know about programming and have time to
spare, you can meet us online in #splashy on irc.freenode.net. We are
on the process to release splashy 0.1.8. It needs more work and as
much help as possible from people interested in it (like you).

If you can code in C, you are most welcome to send patches to
splashy-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org and i'll apply your patches to
the main svn. You can also open bugs in our bug tracking system (see
our wiki page http://splashy.alioth.debian.org for info).

We are trying our best to stabilize splashy before it gets relesaed.
Those were new features added and need more refining.
