Splashy is not meant for debian only, in fact, if you can get us with
info (wiki perhaps) on how to create a packge for slackware, we will
include that in our alioth release page when 0.1.8 is released.

please note that i just fixed the splashy sources in svn. they work
like a charm now.

now, your problem is in src/Makefile.am. Make sure that there is no
hard coded path to the .a files. Also, be sure to fix directfb-config
(provided with splashy) as this will also contain hard coded path.
i'll fix those paths one of these days... it was just a quick way to
get splashy to compile statically with directfb on old debian
packages. supposedly those issues have been fixed now.

we have been busy with getting splashy 0.1.8 released. if you could
join us in #splashy on irc.freenode.net that would be great. we can
guide u on getting it to compile better.
