That's because in /etc/splashy/config you have set the fifo file to be placed in /dev/.initramfs/splashy.fifo
Change it to point to somewhere else such as /etc/splashy/splashy.fifo (which wqas the default before, and should be turned back to default again, imho)

Not a real error. Those modules are attempted to be loaded. Splashy needs them, but you probably have them builin in the kernel, so not as modules.

_NOTHING_ else??? looks like your initramfs isn't "pivoting". That is, it isn't "ending" its stuff. Something is broken there. I don't believe it is related to Splashy but just to the initramfs itself. Can yuo be more verbose aboutthis last problem?
