Well, we know Splashy from initramfs works. I'm glad to see that in your
case, it works well. However, for some debian-based systems, Splashy seems
to take 100% of the CPU during boot if you run it from initramfs. We know
that something gets corrupted during boot and causes the process to go
wrong.

I'll start playing with other distributions and see if we understand better
what causes this problem.
