[Splashy-users] splashy and interctive input ?

Dear maintainers,

I installed and configured splashy on my Debian sid (amd64) and I got it 
running at start. 

But, as I have to interact at boot with the keyboard (I use encrypted 
partitions, which require a passord at boot) , I found no way, to switch to 
the console, to enter the password. 

Pressing F2 did not work. 

My question: Is this feature possible at all ? If yes, how do I have to do it.
