[ubuntu-dev] Bug#685193: gdebi-core: Suggests nonexistent package xz-lzma

Package: gdebi-core
Version: 0.8.5
Severity: minor
Justification: cosmetic

Hi,

gdebi-core Suggests xz-lzma with the following rationale:

 - Suggest xz-lzma to provide support for lzma compresed packages,
they are not very common as lzma is no longer supported by
Debian archive (superseded by xz), but are still valid and
   supported by dpkg/apt (Closes: #650507).

Now that xz-utils registers itself as an alternative implementation of
/usr/bin/lzma directly, this dependency is obsolete. Does gdebi-core
actually make use of files from the old xz-lzma package?

Possible fix: drop the Suggests and rely on python-apt's Recommends to
take care of installing whatever package it uses for lzma support
(currently xz-utils, perhaps python-lzma some day).

Hope that helps,
Jonathan
