Package: gdebi-kde
Version: 0.9.5.5
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
I tried to install the .deb package from the hard drive
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
My DE is KDE4. I clicked with RMB on the package->open with->gdebi, then chose
to install the package
* What was the outcome of this action?
Error message:
The package file does not exist. A nonexistent file has been selected for
installaton. Please select an existing .deb package file.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Package installed successfully.
Comments:
path to package was simple:
/home/phoenix/Downloads/<package name> (2ping_2.1.1-1_all.deb and skype-
debian_4.3.0.37-1_i386.deb).
dpkg -i and gdebi-gtk both worked fine
