[ubuntu-dev] Bug#827001: gdebi: Gdebi closes then reopens when clicking install

Package: gdebi
Version: 0.9.5.7
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

When I click to install something in Gdebi, it asks for root password as it
should and then closes and reopens (presumably it was my user's process, and
then reopens as a root process). This is visually jarring and it would be
better if, for example, it asked for root password *when the application is
started* so it wouldn't have to close and reopen as root.
