[Virtual-pkg-base-maintainers] Bug#508410: sort always assumes -d option

Package: base
Version: etch

The output of /usr/bin/sort is always as if the -d option was used. This is
not the behavior specified on the man page, it is different from my previous
debian distro (woody), and it breaks every script that relies on the standard
sort.

I recommend that the sort utility be restored to the GNU sort functionality.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux kernel 2.6.18-6-686
