Package: base
Severity: normal

I have the following PS1 prompt defined in my .bashrc file:
  export PS1='\e[01;33m${USER}:\e[01;36m\W\e[0m; '
When I call a command line, it will not correctly align the long lines
For example:
user:~; gconftool-2 --set --type=string /destop/gnome/backgrouestop/gnome/backgwre00:~; re_filename ~/.Desktop/New.jpg
user:~; re_filename ~/.Desktop/New.jpg
And, after Up_Arrow:
wre00:~;
round/picture_filename ~/.Desktop/New.jpg destop/gnome/backgr

If I remove the color escapes, It works correcly.
user:~;  export PS1='> '
> gconftool-2 --set --type=string /destop/gnome/background/picture_filename ~/.Desktop/New.jpg
esktop/New.jpg
