[Virtual-pkg-base-maintainers] Bug#704181: base: Trackpad Not Disabled When Typing (in Gnome 3) Wheezy

Package: base
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I am using AMD64-Debian-Wheezy (Testing) with System Default Gnome 3.4.

I have gone to System Settings --> Mouse & Pointing Device --> Trackpad
and selected "Disable trackpad while typing." However, when I type and
try to move the mouse cursor via trackpad (while continuously typing non-
stop), the trackpad is still on, and I can simultaneously type and move my
mouse pointer, which is unfortunate. This also applies when I use an actual
mouse.

I am using a ThinkPenguin, so there are no proprietary trackpad drivers.

Thanks.
