[Virtual-pkg-base-maintainers] Bug#821421: Pressing ` (backtick) key on Mac produces < (greater than character)

Package: base
Severity: normal

On a fresh install of Debian on a Mac (Macbook Pro, Early 2015, 13") when I
press the ` (backtick) key a < (greater than character) is output. If I
press the ~ (tilde) key by holding shift and pressing `, a > (less than
charater) is output.

Sven Arvidsson on the debian-user list has provided me with a workaround.
Create a file /etc/modprobe.d/hid_apple.conf and add the content:

options hid_apple iso_layout=0

It would be good to fix this upstream, whether that be in Debian or the
kernel.

I am using:

Debian 8.4.0
Linux kernel 4.4.0 amd64
Macbook Pro, Early 2015, 13"
