[Vmdebootstrap-devel] Upcoming changes

0.9 is arriving soon, based on current master:

Changes:
 vmdebootstrap (0.9-1) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * New upstream release
   * Add UEFI support using grub-efi
   * Ensure that the /etc/network/interfaces.d/ directory
     is created (Closes: #792182)

0.9 also introduces a check that the caller is root, even when calling
from a local directory.

After that, I am working on 1.0 which is a major refactoring, moving
code into a module to make it easier to work with the code - the
optional handling alone takes up >100 lines of code. v1.0 adds no new
functionality, just reorganises the code from 0.9. This is only
available as a local branch so far but adds a build-dependency on
python-setuptools and introduces a requirement that if running
vmdebootstrap from git, that PYTHONPATH is set to include . so that the
modules can be imported.

Most of the additional installed size is comments (copyright etc.) for
the new files.

v1.0 will be the next version to be backported to Jessie.
