Please look at the source as it is in experimental and use that support
to properly isolate the relevant support in a separate module(s).

All those conditionals need to be removed and a single operation done
to replace one module with another.

There will be a lot more work done on vmdebootstrap during the
miniconf this week. The only way that support for suites other than
those supported in current stable will be possible will be as a
completely separate module. It may be best to wait until after the next
part of work is done - at which point we hope to have a test suite and
this would have to be supported by new additions.

No work should be done on the source as it is in current unstable.
