The build log does not say which Vmware product the modules were built
for. I won't be able to actually try this before tomorrow night since
I need my vmware player to work until then.

But we're a big step forward now, thanks for helping.

I'll report back when I tried.

The "section mismatch" warnings were also present when I built the
(working!) modules for my existing setup, so I do not think that they
are cause for concern.
