I needed to install non-free drivers for my printer. I realized
that installing packages using .deb files circumvents vrms (using dpkg
-i filename.deb). It would be nice if there was a way for the user to mark known non-free packages manually.
I like using vrms to "keep track" of the few non-free packages I have,
so I know to try and replace them with free alternatives eventually.
Thanks,
Ryan
