well that is closer than i thought that it would get. *cool*
as i already mentioned patches for better dep support welcome.

you seem to be confused, initrd-tools is gone!
initramfs-tools produces by _default_ an generic image that boots
any box! yes this is an important commitment to our users,
for the ones who like to tune there are options available.

as no patch or review comes out of this, this is my last mail
to that bug report.
