[Yaird-devel] Bug#446242: don't include unneeded modules which need firmware

Package: yaird
Version: 0.0.12-22

Hi,

I own a pci dvb card which needs firmware (the responsible module is
"dvb-ttpci"). Yaird puts that module into the initrd and during boot
it it tries to load the firmware. This fails after a certain time
because of timeout (the firmware file isn't in the initrd).
Given that the module has nothing lost there imho (it doesn't provide
anything useful for booting) and it causes unnecessary wait and the
device itself isn't handled (you have to reload the module to get it
working), this module shouldn't be part of the initrd.
I don't know why it's included in the first place, probably because it
provides an input device (the remote control for the dvb card). In
this case it should be possible to somehow blacklist it, so that I
don't have to manually workaround it each time yaird is run?

Thanks in advance,

Christoph
