Thank you for the additional info.

I agree with you that modprobe.d is the place to do local adjustments to 
the behaviour of modprobe.

I do not, however, agree with you that yaird must use this interface to 
load kernel modules. Please elaborate.

And please do not mess with my bugreport hinting. Go get release 
managers or tech-ctte to do it for you if you really insist.
