Gentlemen,
Could you tell me if there has been a dependable patch made for the
problem of
RAID1 failures on Debian or equivalent linux softwares?
By 'failure' I must be a little more explicit.
In my particular case. I was testing a two drive workstation, by
powering down, and unplugging the power cable of one of the SATA drives.
When I rebooted, I received an error of
"/bin/cat: /sys/block/sdb/dev: No such file or directory
Waiting 5 seconds for /sys/block/sdb/dev to show up"
This statement would show up after a few seconds, over and over again.
Each time incrementing the number of seconds until 18 was reached.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Dick Miller
