axel -n 2 http://www.kernel.org/example.7z

would add to $HOME/.axel/log the following line:

http://www.kernel.org/example.7z \t /home/user/downloads/example.7z \t 08-11-11 20:49 UTC+0:42 \t 10 MB \t 2 \t ok

(" \t " is a tab, format: URL destdir date filesize n state)

As usual, the option should be selectable with a configure option, and off by default. Additionally, the command-line argument --nolog would prevent logging. axelrc should get a new configuration option LOGFILE, defaulting to $HOME/.axel/log.
