There was some recent activity on a debian bugs list that I'm not sure
how to interpret, but it looks as if it will be (or already is?)
packaged for debian:

That would mean (if I understand correctly that the evolution of the
fluxbox blend is allowing non-stable packages at this early stage) that
it is possible to chose mailpile as the e-mail client for this blend, no
?

If so, I would be very happy to suggest mailpile since a friend of mine
has been working on it and I have always wanted to use mailpile on a
debian pure blend laptop!
