Thank you very much, I had $uploader_name set in my .sbuildrc.
Commenting it out did the trick.

Well, if someone else runs into the same problem as I did, here's a nice

As things are fixed for me, the bug can be closed. Reason: Bug report
invalid, PEBKAC... ;)
