Hi Roger,
support for aufs/unionfs is provided by linux kernel. However,
aufs-modules | unionfs-modules isn't part of unstable since 2009:

I'm not in a position to provide more info, but I'm think all current fs
are still supported.
Maybe can be useful add aufs-tools and unionfs-fuse packages.
