An old woman in 1950's Poland, going to Warsaw for the first time, sees
an imposing statue in a public square and asks the guard, "Is that
Marshall Pilsudski?"
"No, that's Josef Stalin."
"What did he do?"
"He drove the Germans out of Poland."
"Oh!" She looks at the statue admiringly, and says, "Maybe now he'll
drive the Russians out of Poland!"
