I say the "don your flame suits guys!" followed by 'letting it rip'
email was about as good as they come! The more the better. A little
tough love is a good thing, as you know well Ralph :)

Yes. This is true. The discussion degenerated somewhat into
unfortunately somewhat common territory.

I just renewed my subscription to debian-user though ... so I shall
continue to listen and participate where I can :)

I think you might have missed the sarcasm in my words above... I guess
comedy just doesn't come across so well in email ... so we have to
dissect it instead.

I was not actually trying to comment on Stan's email - I personally
think it was Most Excellent (C) (R) (TM) - but rather the responses to
it.
