Well, well, but the situation is different: It's not whether
you can live without the package. It's that you need
*either/or*.

Any chance a package can *abort* it's installation ? One
could then add the -server package as a Requires but then
ask in that -server package whether a local or remote server
is wanted. If the latter the package could test for the
remote server and abort itself and do as if everything went
well *evil grin*
