Marco,

My broadband connection is back on. I tried to build your packages in my
amd64 system inside a pbuilder chroot. These are the problems I noticed
so far:

* python-numpy:

  * cdbs build-dependency missing

  * python-f2py-doc dh_installdoc fails:

dh_installdocs
-ppython-f2py-doc  /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/numpy/f2py/docs/*
cp: cannot stat `/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/numpy/f2py/docs/*': No
such file or directory
dh_installdocs: command returned error code 256
make: *** [binary-install/python-f2py-doc] Error 1
debuild: fatal error at line 767:
dpkg-buildpackage failed!

  * duplicate files in python2.?-numpy-ext:

dpkg: error processing python2.4-numpy-ext_0.9.4-2_amd64.deb
(--install):
 trying to overwrite
`/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/numpy/dft/__init__.py', which is also
in package python2.3-numpy-ext

  * typo:

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of python2.4-f2py:
 python2.4-f2py depends on python2.43-numpy; however:
  Package python2.43-numpy is not installed.
 
* python-scipy:

  * atlas2 missing in amd64; build depends should list "refblas3-dev |
atlas3-base-dev, lapack3-dev | atlas3-base-dev" as before -- the
references to atlas2 in INSTALL.txt are IMO just outdated notes.
  
  * it should depend on python-numpy, and not python-numeric


I'm still working on python-scipy. I'll let you know when I have it
running.
