This is interesting; how does it intersect with the existing debtags
vocabulary?

This seems like an excellent idea.  Are there any more detailed descriptions
of the Trove categories than are given at the URL you gave above?  I feel
that this kind of list requires more in-depth explanation of each category,
so that maintainers know whether the tag is really appropriate.

For example, should "printing" be used for programs with printing
capability, or only those whose sole purpose is to perform printer-related
tasks?  Is a web browser also an FTP client?

Usually, but not always.  The OSD and DFSG are extremely similar of course,
but the interpretations seem to differ.  The RPSL, for example, seems to be
OSI approved but not recognized as DFSG free.
