[Debburn-devel] [genisoimage] Incorrect filenames shortening when using just joliet (not long)

Hello,

  CDRKit 1.1.6.

The problem is when creating iso image with joliet FS, but not
joliet-long. Genisoimage is supposed to shorten all filenames, and it
does that but incorrectly, or incorrectly recognizes those filenames.

  Suppose you have four files:
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa1.txt
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa2.txt
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa3.txt
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa4.txt

  You run:
genisoimage -o ISO.iso -joliet aaa*

According to genisoimage new filenames are:
for the second file: AAAAA002.TXT;1
for the third: AAAAA001.TXT;1
and for the fourth: AAAAA000.TXT;1

The process was interupted because genisoimage "found" conflicts in
new filenames -- they are not unique. But you can see they are.

I tested also the latest (stable) mkisofs and it has the same
problems, so maybe this was inherited from mkisofs?

have a nice day, bye
