I would be willing to maintain it, and that shouldn't be a problem.
Given that, I'm the libburn/libisofs source packages maintainer in
Ubuntu.

There actually is some pending discussion about libburnia project
lately which should bring us the benefit of having rocking packages
and a really good stack in Debian.

For now, until the discussion are done ... I don't think it's necessary.
I do hope Sledge, Ganneff and others will have more time soon for a
discussion.
